Aspect Ecology - News

Aspect Ecology has recently advised on a major new country house which has been granted planning permission by South Norfolk District Council.

The new design came under the Government’s new National Planning Policy Framework paragraph 55, which allows new country houses that are of ‘exceptional quality or innovative design’. This is thought to be one of only a few which have been granted permission under the rigorous conditions of this policy since it was introduced in 2012.

Designed by the leading classical architect, Robert Adam of ADAM Architecture, the new house will sit in the grounds of Mundam House, a Grade II listed building, which will be restored and retained as a dower house.  Adam worked closely with consultants to present what the local authority identified as 'exemplar documents' and with specialist advice from Alistair Baxter of Aspect Ecology Ltd on ecological enhancements across the site.
