Landscape: March 2013 – Aspect’s landscape design completed at Saracens’ new home stadium Allianz Park in Barnet.

Barnet Copthall Stadium:Aspect prepared the detailed hard and soft landscape details and drawings, arboriculture and ecological information in order to discharge the landscape, arboriculture and ecology related planning conditions associated with the comprehensive redevelopment of the Barnet Copthall Stadium. The stadium is set within the Green Belt and is now Saracens rugby home venue as well as a summer athletics track and stadium. The development includes rugby union’s first synthetic pitch, a state of the art new east stand with hospitality areas and the world’s largest rugby bar as well as an underground athletics training area. Aspect’s involvement included the design a specification of a new high quality and permeable public realm piazza area, extensive landscaping and ecological zones, car parking areas and green walls as part of the sensitively designed redevelopment – the only stadium in the country to be designed and built to BREEAM excellent standards. Saracens’ had its opening match against Exeter Chiefs on 16th February and the stadium is now known as Allianz Park.
